FAQ

Frequently asked questions

It depends on the jurisdiction and the completeness of the application. Entry-level licences such as Anjouan or Tobique may be processed within several weeks, while Curaçao generally requires around 4–6 months under the current licensing framework. Tier-1 jurisdictions such as Malta and the Isle of Man typically involve a longer regulatory review and may take several months.

The right jurisdiction depends on your budget, target markets, business model, banking and payment requirements, and the level of regulatory credibility you need. Startups may consider Anjouan, Tobique, or Nevis, while growing operators often look at Curaçao. Malta and the Isle of Man are generally more suitable for established businesses seeking a highly structured regulatory environment.

A gaming licence and banking setup are separate workstreams. In many cases, the licensing process can begin before an operational bank account or payment solution is fully established. However, real-money operations require appropriate banking and payment infrastructure, so we recommend starting these processes in parallel.

Physical presence is not normally required for many offshore licensing applications. However, some jurisdictions require local corporate substance, registered offices, resident officers, key persons, or other local functions. The exact requirements depend on the jurisdiction and licence type.

Applications can be delayed or rejected because of incomplete documentation, due diligence issues, unsuitable ownership or funding structures, compliance deficiencies, or concerns raised during the regulator's review. We review the application package before submission and assist with regulator questions and additional information requests during the process.

Yes. We can assist with licence renewals, corporate maintenance, regulatory reporting, AML and compliance updates, changes of directors or shareholders, banking and payment matters, and other ongoing requirements relevant to the licensed operation.
